What's New?

01/08/2008 9:59 PM BatMan3EV version is coming along. I have gotten inquiries from several customers WANTING them, and I just have to produce them. I will look into installing a prototype into a ZENN car from MC Electric Vehicles tomorrow.

3/31/2008 8:03:51 PM I have been getting way behind lately. There are way too many projects in the works recently. Here is the new BatMan3EV.

I had to build up another prototype control board for the P ortland Wind Electric Windmill which is scheduled to go live this weekend.

I am also working on a digital controller for ManzanitaMicro PFC series Electric Vehicle Chargers. I am doing this for Brassrat Communications.

Then there are the two flavors of RudmanRegulatorMK3's and their associated communication bus issues.

12/18/2006 11:07 AM We have had no power in Woodinville for 4 days now. I doubt we will get power back before the end of the week, maybe longer. That being the case, I am using a standard BatMan3-EL to monitor the AC Inverters battery usage. I am using the inverter to run the fireplace inserts fan, and the snake cage heater, and to charge various cell phones and such. It is too small to run the furnace or the freezer and refrigerator. I guess I need a bigger inverter.

To do this, I just put the BatMan in "Drain Mode", and start it when I turn on the inverter. I have hooked up an LED to the Load Switch connector to tell me when the batteries get too low, in case I can't hear the piercing scream from the inverter. It seems to be working just fine.

02/01/2006 10:14 AM The BM3EL Load Switch for drain testing batteries is released! You can find the User Manual in the Manuals Department. The DataLogger is back from FAB, I hope to get to it soon. I hope to get the Lap Beacon Receiver and Transmitter ready for me to test at Portland this year.

I now have had a bunch of people asking for an eMeter/Link10 replacement. The BatMan3 can be factory configured to do most of that. I now have algorithms for handling Peukerts Equation, and have to find time to install it in a version of the software.

The Rudman Regulator MK3 Rev 2 is working in the lab. Rich Rudman has assembled about 50 of these puppies, and the first batch will ship soon. I have written the software with some help from Jonathan Pullen.

If you have specific wishes or ideas, please send me a note.

The Battery Manager II is no longer in production. We are feverishly working on new products to replace it.

11/06/2005 7:27 PM I have been getting way behind lately. There are way too many projects in the works recently. The new EV BatMan is coming along. It features a programmable "Fuel Gauge" to let you concentrate on your driving.
